SCS Summer School on Analytical Sciences 2027

The SCS Summer School on Analytical Sciences is dedicated to the rapidly developing field of spatially resolved chemical analysis.

Chemical imaging lies at the intersection of analytical chemistry, spectroscopy, microscopy, mass spectrometry, X-ray science, instrumentation and data science for processing large measurement dataset as hyperspectral blocks. Modern analytical problems increasingly require determining not only what is present in a sample, but also where it is located, in which chemical or structural state, at which depth, and how different components are spatially correlated, migrate or partition. The Summer School will therefore present chemical imaging not as a catalogue of individual techniques, but as an integrated analytical methodology.
